When someone is crying, of course, the noble thing to do is to comfort them. But if someone is trying to hide their tears, it may also be noble to pretend you do not notice them.

1. I’m a good listener.
2. I know a lot of random historical facts that just somehow has been saved inside my brain. I like finding explanations to things I don’t understand.
3. Every once in a while I feel like baking something and then I make like 100 cinnamonrolls and invite every family member to come and eat. I’m actually very good at baking. *am actually currently eating cookies i made yesterday*
4. Even though I’m someone who worries a lot, is quite prone to panic and cries a lot. I’m very good at fixing things that go wrong, like I’ll probably have a small cry, then I’ll get up and go fix it.
5. I have nice soft hair that’s slowly growing longer, and it’s really nice and thick and can be doubled up as a scarf in wintertime.

Thank you! This was very nice!! xx

Being born a woman is an awful tragedy. Yes, my consuming desire to mingle with road crews, sailors and soldiers, bar room regulars—to be a part of a scene, anonymous, listening, recording—all is spoiled by the fact that I am a girl, a female always in danger of assault and battery. My consuming interest in men and their lives is often misconstrued as a desire to seduce them, or as an invitation to intimacy. Yet, God, I want to talk to everybody I can as deeply as I can. I want to be able to sleep in an open field, to travel west, to walk freely at night.

girls are made of sunshine people who dont fit into the gender binary are made of stardust

but what are boys made out of

This post was nice until the last part. How would you like to be told you’re made of dirt? Nobody wants that.

I’m sorry if you feel personally offended by this post. But it’s supposed to be a bit of a joke, I don’t think the person who wrote this originally actually thinks that boys are dirt. And if they do? Dirt can be good? Dirt is soil and soil make things grow which is kind of beautiful. Perhaps try to listen less to what strangers say on the internet, and I don’t want to tell you to stop taking things personally because everyones feelings matter. But yeah sometimes when no one has attacked you personally try to take it with a pinch of salt, it makes things a lot easier - and probably generally being on the internet will be a nicer experience for you.

(also we could lead this “debate” into the whole using girl as an insult, and that boys being quite priviliged could perhaps take it to be joked about for once especially when like this one, which in my opinion, is quite lighthearted) (which most girl jokes aren’t) (but let’s not go there because this isn’t a competition abut who has it harder)
